A Parking Charge Notice (PCN) may be issued to a vehicle that has breached any of the terms conditions of the car park which are displayed prominently throughout every one of our sites. for example, failure to display a valid permit, have a valid paid for session, not exited the site within the allocated period, misuse of a disabled or parent/child bay. If the PCN is not paid within a specified time then we are legally entitled to request, from the DVLA, the registered keeper’s details, allowing us to enforce, through the courts if necessary, the outstanding charge. Due to recent changes in the Freedom of Protection Act (2012 England and Wales) registered keepers can be made liable for parking charge notices and associated costs through civil action.
PCC parking operatives use hand-held terminals to input or scan vehicle registration numbers and also take photographic evidence to support the issued PCN. The PCN system acts a deterrent and ensures drivers adhere to the terms and conditions of the car park.
